Heidi HeadshotHEIDI GABELMAN
The practice of yoga opened my heart over 25 years ago, and I continue to be touched by its power. Yoga nurtures my body, quiets my mind, and brings happiness and balance to my life.

I have been teaching yoga since 2012. I am a graduate of Kimberlee Orenstein’s 200-hour Advanced Study Teacher Training Program. I completed 160 hours of in-person Yin Yoga training with Yin Yoga Pioneer Paul Grilley. I have also spent many hours studying Yin Yoga and Meditation with Sarah and Ty Powers, Bernie Clark, and Jo Phee.

My hope is that, by sharing what I have learned from my amazing teachers and students, many others will come to experience the wealth of benefits yoga has to offer. I strive to create a safe and joyful environment so that students are comfortable and can more easily connect with their physical and energetic bodies. My intention is to guide classes with heart and compassion, to inspire students toward more peace, calm, and clarity both on and off the mat.

CLASSES
Yin Yoga, Fridays, 10:45 am – 12 pm
Offered in-person.(No class: 10/29, 11/26, 12/24)

Yin Yoga is a gentle practice that works deeply into our bodies with passive, longer held poses. It targets the deepest tissues of our bodies: our connective tissues, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks. Energetically, Yin Yoga enhances the flow of chi and brings balance to the organs through meridian stimulation. Each posture is held for a long period of time to encourage the slow and safe opening of connective tissues leaving you with a feeling of lightness, spaciousness, and peace. This practice is the perfect antidote to stress and a great counter balance to more active forms of exercise and life. Yin is suitable for all levels of students.
