Ani Raya-Flores has been practicing yoga for 20 years and teaching for over 10. The one thing she’s learned? Everyday on the mat is different, and our practice should reflect that. Ani creates an inclusive environment for all people— a safe space, but not necessarily a serious one. She strives to be inviting, challenging, and aware of the changing needs of her students. Students can expect clear instruction, playfulness, and to leave class a bit more at home in their bodies.
With a background in trail running and endurance athletics, Ani has found yoga to be an invaluable piece of her training puzzle. The combination of breath work, balance, and deep core have helped her make it up countless mountains— literal and figurative. When she’s not teaching yoga, you can find her running in the mountains, walking her dogs in the mountains, or talking about the mountains. WEEKLY CLASSES
Align & Strengthen
Mondays, 5:30 – 6:45 pm (begins Nov. 18, 2024)
Align & Strengthen is a 75 minute practice intended to support athletes and yogis of all ages. Students can expect a medium-paced warm up focused on core, mobility, and safe alignment. We’ll work on strength, balance, and how to modify for common limitations (back pain, old injuries, or just plain fatigue). Class will wind down with a bit of playtime, giving students the chance to try a challenging new pose or find something restorative.
You don’t have to be a yoga expert to get the benefits of this practice. This class is a great fit for active folks of all ages and sizes: mountain bikers, cross-country skiers, trail runners and those aspiring to run. Come spend some time on the mat!
