KIM SANCHEZ DATA is a dedicated trauma informed yoga teacher who is passionate about empowering seniors to lead active, healthy, and fulfilling lives. She founded Reno Senior Yoga, to inspire seniors to experience all that is possible in this third act of life through yoga practices designed by a senior for seniors. Kim encourages students to discover the wholistic power of yoga to improve their mobility, balance, strength, mental wellness, and overall health through breathwork, mindful movement, and meditation. Introduced to yoga in the 70s, she practiced off and on for years. After moving to Reno, Kim developed a daily yoga practice and became integrated within the local yoga community. Through the mentorship of her teacher Katie Louvat, she was encouraged to participate in a yoga teacher training to deepen her personal practice. Kim is a graduate of ‘Boundless’ a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training + Mindfulness-Based Leadership Program with Amber Campion. Kim continues her education and has completed a Mat + Chair Yoga workshop and Chair Yoga for Tech Workers workshop. Currently she is enrolled in the Brain Longevity Therapy Training program conducted by the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation.
