In this training, you will deepen your practice and understanding of trauma-informed approaches for teaching yoga as a form of mindful movement to vulnerable populations. You will gain insights on how to incorporate mindful movement into a client’s treatment, trauma-informed language, and considerations when working with vulnerable populations, as well as teach how to shape a 15-30-60-minute yoga class in a trauma-informed manner. You will learn trauma theory including the effects on the brain and body, teaching considerations when leading a trauma-informed yoga class, and science-back approaches that have been used on thousands of students across the nation since 2019.
